A webinar With Sen. Cory Booker: Reengaging the Jewish Community on Criminal Justice Reform

The statistics around mass incarceration are staggering:

  • With just 4.4% of the world’s population, the U.S. houses nearly 25% of the world’s prisoners — over 2.2 million individuals. We house 30% of the world’s population of incarcerated women.
  • Over 2.7 million children have at least one parent in prison.
  • Nearly half of all state prisoners are nonviolent offenders, and 16% are drug offenders.

Please join us for a conversation with Senator Cory Booker on criminal justice reform, mandatory minimums, mass incarceration, juvenile justice, race, faith, the impact on our society, and what the Jewish community can be doing to help address these issues. Senator Booker has been a leading advocate on reforms to our criminal justice system for many years, from his many initiatives as mayor of Newark to his work in leading bipartisan efforts in the Senate, including The Fair Chance Act (S. 2021) and The Sentencing Reform and Corrections Act (S. 2123).
