Sisterhood at Ohev Shalom Hosting 3rd Annual Trivia Night

Three times is a charm! The Sisterhood of Ohev Shalom is excited to announce the return of its popular Trivia Night to be held on Saturday November 10, 2018. Come by yourself or come with your friends and test your knowledge. What was the first Department Store to hold a Thanksgiving Day Parade? What famous musician was shot by Mark David Chapman in the year 1980? How many Jewish people eat Chinese food on Christmas Eve? What famous Beatle’s song topped the charts in 1967? Register for Trivia Night to find out!

 

Tickets cost $20 / person. Doors open at 7 PM, and trivia beings promptly at 7:30 PM. You can come by yourself, or you can bring your friends with a maximum team size of 12 people at a table. Snacks and desserts will be provided, and there will be cash prizes! As a friendly reminder, this event is BYOKB (Bring Your Own Kosher Bottles).

Blue Wave Fact or Fiction with Dick Polman

Join DJOP on Sunday September 16 at 11 am as columnist Dick Polman discusses the topic of the November 2018 elections. Dick will discuss  his thoughts on whether or not there will be a Blue Wave election as well as the current political climate including Trump, Russians, Mueller and our own PA races from Governor to Senate to Congress.  A light brunch will be served and there will be time for Q and A. Second Annual Pride Shabbat at Ohev Shalom

Ohev Shalom of Bucks County announces with exuberance its second annual Pride Shabbat on Friday June 8th at 6 PM in the Sanctuary. It is the belief of Ohev Shalom and our congregation that every person deserves love and respect. We welcome all peoples to our synagogue, so join us for this special Shabbat to celebrate our Jewish LGBTQIA+ brothers and sisters. A special Kiddush with wine and dessert will follow the Shabbat Services.

Ohev Shalom of Bucks County Hosting Open House: All Are Welcome

Ohev Shalom of Bucks County is hosting an Open House on Sunday May 6th from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM. All guests are welcome to visit the Synagogue in Richboro and learn what we have to offer to prospective members. Guests can tour the buildings and Hebrew School classroom. At 10 AM, and can meet our clergy during the Clergy Meet and Greet. Dr. Rabbi Elliot Perlman, Cantor Annelise Ocanto-Romo, and Cantor Emeritus Paul Frimark will tell you all about Ohev Shalom’s innovative programs in Jewish life and education. This is a great time for prospective members to learn about the benefits of being a member of the Synagogue and how its programs help people lead more enriched Jewish lives as members of the Ohev community. Please join us and enjoy coffee and snacks with members of Ohev’s leadership while getting to know the Ohev Community.

 

For Jewish families with young children, Ohev Shalom is excited to mention that family membership is complimentary until the oldest child is in the Third Grade!
