The Gershman Y is proud to present Surface Tension: Photographs by Terri Warpinksi.
Terri Warpinski and her connection to the places, peoples, cultures and histories that contribute to Surface Tension are ideological as well as subjective. Warpinski begins with herself as the subject of a political system that authored and contributed to the dynamics that are addressed in her work and planted in the territory of “between-ness.” Through her photographs in Surface Tension, Warpinski extends an invitation to examine how power is established and rationalized.
This exhibition is presented in partnership with the University of the Arts. It is free and open to the public: Monday-Saturday, 9 AM-5 PM, and Sunday, 9 AM-2 PM.
