Love and Religion Workshop for Interfaith Couples

January 25, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - February 8, 2017 @ 8:30 pm

$18

Being part of an interfaith couple can be challenging, but you don’t need to find the answers alone. This workshop offers a safe environment to work on creating your religious lives together.  It is intended for newly married or seriously dating interfaith couples with one Jewish partner to talk about how to have religious traditions in their lives together.

InterfaithFamily/Philadelphia is pleased to offer “Love and Religion”, a four-session workshop based on Love and Religion: An Interfaith Workshop for Jews and Their Partners, created by Marion L. Usher, Ph.D.

“Love and Religion” – meets 4 consecutive Wednesday evenings, January 25 and February 1, 8 and 15 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm.  The workshop will be facilitated by Rabbi Robyn Frisch, Director of InterfaithFamily/Philadelphia.  We will meet in Center City Philadelphia.

You can learn more and watch a short  video about the workshop at http://www.interfaithfamily.com/loveandreligion or by contacting InterfaithFamily/Philadelphia Director, Robyn Frisch, at  [email protected].
Couples should participate if they are dating, engaged or newly married, exploring the issue of religion in their relationship, and:

  • want to have a religious life and are unclear how to discuss this issue with each other
  • want to be with other couples who are struggling with the same issues
  • want answers to their questions about religious life together, including: Where can we find Jewish clergy to marry us? Can our children be Jewish if one of us is not? How can we approach our parents to help us with these dilemmas? Can our children go to Hebrew school if they are not converted at birth?
