The 16th Annual SPE® Plastic Fair at the Franklin Institute will be Saturday, January 25th 2020 from 11 AM – 4 PM! With stations throughout the museum, learn about ‘The Age of Plastics’, discover plastics in fashion and cosmetics, make your own plastic glitter beads, and participate in a scavenger hunt for prizes. Crazy Aaron has sent 50 pounds of thinking putty to commemorate his 10th year with the Fair. There will be scholarships for participating guests. There are two exciting new Dr. T. shows! This year ‘Polymers Make a Mess’ when they spill, foam-over, and, of course, help clean up. Escape with Dr. T. as polymers also make an impact in ‘Plastics for the Worst Case’, with different plastic responses to outrageous, and dangerous, situations. Meet Plastics Industry professionals and try your hand at making glow-in-the-dark slime.
